Medvet offers a range of tests for insurance companies to assess the suitability of prospective applicants.
Medvet is unique in that it offers a domiciliary collection service to insurance companies. THIS SERVICE IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN METROPOLITAN SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Collections outside of this area may utilise IMVS collection centers which are located through regional South Australia. Our collectors will travel to the client’s residence at a pre-determined time to collect the specimens required by the requesting insurer.
To organise a domiciliary collection you will need the following:
- An account with Medvet
- A pathology request form
- A copy of the client details including name, date of birth, address and contact phone number.
- A list of the tests you require Medvet to perform

Getting pathology request forms:
Please contact Medvet info@medvet.com.au and we will create a personalised request pad for your company.
We will then send this to you and all you need to do is fill in the client details each time you want to request pathology testing. You can then send this form back to us and we will contact the client to arrange an appointment time.
Supplying client details:
One way to do this is to send us back a form already filled in. However you may also phone us with your request and we will expedite the collection and testing for you. If you wish to phone through a pathology request please have the following information ready to quote to our staff.
- Name of Insurer including Medvet’s Ultra code – supplied to you by Medvet
- Billing Code – supplied to you by Medvet
- Client’s christian name and surname
- Client’s date of birth
- Client’s address
- Client’s contact number
- A list of the tests you require Medvet to perform
Scope of Testing
Medvet is capable of doing virtually all pathology tests that an insurer might request. Typical pathology tests include:
- Full Blood Examination
- Liver and Renal Function Test
- Blood Glucose
- Cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL
- Hepatitis A, B and C
- HIV
- Urine Microscopy, Culture and Sensitivity
- Cotinine
