Laboratory Services

Medvet Laboratories is affiliated with the Toxicology Laboratory at the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science (IMVS) in Adelaide, Australia. The laboratory is run by highly trained scientists, who carry out all tests in accordance with the AS/NZS 4308:2001. The laboratory is NATA accredited.

The IMVS Toxicology Laboratory offers drug of abuse testing in urine. Laboratory screens can be performed on urine samples (as opposed to on-site screens), followed by GC/MS confirmation as per the AS/NZS 4308:2001. The confirmation is the 'legal' basis of the test and is recognised as a scientifically valid method. It allows the precise drug to be identified (as opposed to a drug 'group' in on-site screening) and quantified so that levels can be compared to the AS/NZS 4308 cut off levels.

Reliable and confidential reports indicating a positive or negative result are then sent out, generally to one specific contact person within your Company.
