Drug Testing Education and Training

Education

Education sessions are a critical first step to ensure acceptance of your drug testing policy at all levels of the organisation. Education sessions provide your managers and employees with the opportunity to learn about the collection and drug testing process.  It provides them with peace of mind about their rights, obligations and any other issues they may have regarding privacy. Education is vitally important to ensure employees make informed and responsible choices in relation to using drugs and alcohol. All sessions are conducted by our team of fully trained consultants who are able to conduct these sessions at your workplace or nominated venue.

Medvet Laboratories offer two types of drug testing education sessions:

The first session focuses on drugs and their effects as well as their impact on safety and performance. Topics include:

  • Trends within Australian workplaces
  • Different types of drugs used
  • Clearance times for each class of drug

The second session focuses on the process of sample collection and testing. Important aspects of the Australian Standards AS/NZS 4308 and AS 4760 and employee confidentiality and privacy are covered in detail.
