Introducing a Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy can be difficult. Knowing where to start can be confusing and you are likely to have a lot of questions from employees that you may not be able to answer.
Medvet Laboratories can consult with you during this period, giving advice on how to best deal with the situation. We also have qualified staff who can give formal or informal presentations to your employees that will fully explain the drug and alcohol testing procedure and answer any technical questions that they may have. This means that an outside party is able to give independent, and possibly confidential, advice and help to your employees through a time where they can often be confused and volatile. We are able to travel to all metropolitan and country areas in Australia.
Costs for this service will be arranged before hand when taking into consideration your company's individual needs.
On-site Training
Medvet Laboratories can provide your company with full trained staff for on-site testing in both regional and metropolitan areas, all around Australia. Our staff members are trained to AS/NZS 4308:2008, and can be trusted to perform the testing to the highest standards. Our staff can:
- Perform alcohol breath testing using state of the art breathalyzers that are calibrated on a regular basis.
- Perform on-site drug of abuse testing to AS/NZS 4308:2008 & AS 4760:2006 to give you and your staff fast and reliable results. A positive screen will be sent to our Toxicology Laboratory for further testing, but negative results will be known at the time. This allows you to stand down any presumptive positive screening employees at the time pending laboratory results.
- Collect urine to AS/NZS 4308:2008 & Collect Saliva to AS 4760:2006 to be sent to the Toxicology Laboratory for laboratory based screening instead of on-site screening.
