Self Collect DNA Test

The cost of this DNA test kit including sample analysis (for mother, 1 child and assumed father) for paternity testing is only $352.

This is a DNA test kit that you can order right now. You will receive your discreet kit in the mail within 2 days. The kit contains cheek swabs and return envelopes.

You can take the DNA samples in the comfort and privacy of your own home and return them for processing immediately.

As soon as we receive payment, our lab will begin the DNA extraction and analysis process. This takes up to 7-10 days, at which time we send you your confidential results.

Legally Admissible DNA Test

The cost of a legally admissible DNA test including sample analysis (for mother, 1 child and assumed father) for paternity testing is $770.

This test is required if the results are to be used for legal purposes, in circumstances such as a custody dispute or disputed child support payments or a disputed Will.

The Medvet legally admissible DNA Tests are accredited by NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities). Accreditation is required for the DNA test results to be valid in a court of law.  The testing laboratory is accredited specifically for parentage testing under NATA’s forensic science laboratory accreditation program. Regular external auditing verify our laboratory’s compliance to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025. This verification of technical competency provides a high level of confidence to both the courts and to individual clients.

The taking of samples is completely painless and involves collecting a sample from inside the cheek using cotton swab. Once payment has been received, the laboratory will contact each person to arrange a suitable time for testing.  A sample will be taken from each person taking part in the test, separate appointment times may be arranged if required.

Benefits for the family

If a family is uncertain of who the father may be, our parentage test will provide certainty and peace of mind.  If paternity is in dispute, or is being contested for purposes of financial support, then a parentage test will provide proof so that the correct responsibilities can be decided. If the biological father of your child disputes financial support, a DNA test by Medvet will provide you with a report admissible to the Family Law Court. Results are conclusive. A man can be excluded as the father with 100% certainty, whilst results identifying the father are conclusive with a minimum of 99.5% certainty.
