DNA Testing
Medvet provides accurate DNA testing using up-to-date technology in our purpose built dna testing Australian laboratory. The results of the DNA tests are certified with a 99.998% degree of accuracy. Medvet offers a self collect paternity DNA test and a legally admissible paternity DNA test.
Self Collect DNA Test
The cost of this DNA test kit including sample analysis (for mother, 1 child and assumed father) for paternity testing is only $352.
You will receive your discreet DNA testing kit in the mail within 2 days. The DNA testing kit contains cheek swabs, instructions and return envelopes.
You can conduct your DNA test in the comfort and privacy of your own home and return the DNA test kit for processing immediately. The collection of DNA samples is completely painless and involves collecting a saliva sample from inside the cheek using a cotton swab.
As soon as we receive your DNA sample and payment, our lab will begin the DNA extraction and DNA analysis process. Once the results are confirmed, we will send you the confidential results.
The results for DNA tests are available within 7-10 working days.
Legally Admissible DNA Test
The cost of a legally admissible DNA test including sample analysis (for mother, 1 child and assumed father) for paternity testing is $770.
The Medvet Legally Admissible DNA Tests are accredited by NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities). Accreditation is required for the DNA test results to be valid in a court of law. The testing laboratory is accredited specifically for parentage testing under NATA’s forensic science laboratory accreditation program. Regular external auditing by acknowledged technical experts verify our laboratory’s compliance to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025. This verification of technical competency provides a high level of confidence to both the courts and to individual clients.
DNA Samples can be arranged through an approved DNA collection centre anywhere in Australia. Please Contact Us if you wish to arrange a collection.
A DNA sample will be taken from each person taking part in the test. However, separate appointment times may be arranged if required.
