Patients admitted to hospital via the Accident and Emergency Department, once settled into their room, will be visited by one of our International Patient Assistants.

The role of our International Patient Assistant, is to assist the patient with finalising payment arrangements for their hospital stay.

This may involve:

• Contacting the international insurance or assistance company on behalf of the patient
• Obtaining written guarantee for medical fees from the insurance company and / or patient
• Providing medical details to the insurance company
• Finalising invoice
• Obtaining payment from the insurance company and / or patient
